PackTagQR Box Organizer

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to PackTag, a QR and barcode box organizer app developed by DarkLag Software.

PackTag helps users create box records, add item lists, attach photos, generate QR labels, scan QR codes or barcodes, and export printable labels.

3. Permissions Used by PackTag

PackTag may request access to certain device features only when needed.

• Camera access may be requested to scan QR codes and barcodes on boxes.
• Photo Library access may be requested when users choose to attach photos to box records.
• Notification permission may be requested if reminder features are available.
• Network access may be used for App Store services, diagnostics, support-related functions or optional system services if enabled.

Users can manage permissions at any time through iOS Settings.

4. Camera and Code Scanning

PackTag uses the camera to scan QR codes and common barcodes. Scanned codes may be linked to a box record or used to open an existing box record inside the app.

Camera access is used only for scanning features. PackTag does not use the camera for unrelated purposes.

5. Photos

If the user grants photo access or selects photos, PackTag may store selected images as part of box records.

Photos are used to help users visually remember what is inside each box. Users should only attach photos they want to store in the app.

6. Box Records and Labels

PackTag may store information entered by the user, including box names, room/category names, item lists, notes, flags such as fragile or heavy, linked barcode values and generated QR label values.

Exported PDF labels are created from the information entered by the user.

7. Information We May Process

Depending on enabled features and app version, PackTag may process limited information such as:

• Box names, item names, notes, categories and labels entered by the user
• QR codes and barcode values scanned or generated by the app
• Photos selected by the user for box records
• Device model, operating system version, app version and language settings
• Crash reports, diagnostics and performance information if enabled
• Support messages voluntarily sent by the user

8. Payments

PackTag may be offered as a paid app on the App Store. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

DarkLag Software does not collect or store credit card numbers, banking information or full payment credentials.

9. Third-Party Services

PackTag may use Apple services and may use third-party services for diagnostics, crash reporting, analytics or support-related functions depending on the active version of the app.

These services may process technical information necessary to operate or improve the app.

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared only when necessary to operate app functionality, comply with legal requirements, process App Store purchases, provide diagnostics or respond to support requests.

11. User Control

Users can create, edit and delete box records inside the app. Users can also manage camera, photo and notification permissions through iOS Settings.

If permissions are disabled, related features may no longer work.

12. Children’s Privacy

PackTag is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data through the app, please contact us.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised update date.
