1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use apply to PackTag, a QR and barcode box organizer app developed by DarkLag Software.

By downloading, installing or using PackTag, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. App Description

PackTag is a utility app designed to help users organize moving and storage boxes with QR labels, barcode scanning, item lists, photos, notes and printable PDF labels.

The app may allow users to generate QR labels, link existing barcodes, scan codes, create box records and search box contents.

3. User Responsibility

PackTag is an organization and label management tool. Users are responsible for reviewing all box records, item lists, photos, notes and printed labels before relying on them.

DarkLag Software is not responsible for misplaced items, incorrect labels, missing boxes, user-entered mistakes, damaged labels or moving/storage issues.

4. Permissions

Some features may require access to camera, photos, notifications, internet connection or other device resources. These permissions are requested through the iOS permission system.

If permission is denied or later disabled, related features may not function properly.

5. QR Codes and Barcodes

PackTag may generate QR codes and scan QR codes or barcodes. Scanning accuracy may depend on lighting, camera quality, label condition, barcode quality and device capabilities.

Users should verify that a scanned code opens the correct box record before relying on it during moving or storage.

6. PDF Labels and Printing

PackTag may allow users to export printable PDF labels. Printing quality, paper size, printer settings and label durability are outside the control of DarkLag Software.

Users should test labels before applying them to important boxes.

7. Payments

PackTag may be sold as a paid app through Apple’s App Store. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Billing, refunds, purchase history and payment handling are managed by Apple according to Apple’s App Store rules.

DarkLag Software does not collect or store full payment card details.

8. Third-Party Services

PackTag may use Apple services or third-party services for app functionality, diagnostics, analytics, crash reporting or technical support depending on the active app version.

Use of these services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Acceptable Use

When using PackTag, you agree not to:

  • Use the app for illegal, harmful or abusive purposes
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, copy or redistribute the app without permission
  • Interfere with the app’s security, operation or performance
  • Use scanned codes or labels in a misleading or harmful way
  • Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or platform rules

10. Intellectual Property

PackTag, including its design, interface, branding, text, graphics, logic and related content, is owned by DarkLag Software or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell or exploit any part of the app without prior written permission from DarkLag Software.

11. Limitation of Liability

PackTag is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. DarkLag Software does not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available on all devices.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DarkLag Software shall not be liable for data loss, incorrect labels, misplaced items, moving issues, device issues, indirect damages or any loss arising from use of the app.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any updated version will become effective when published on this page.

Continued use of the app after changes are published means that you accept the updated terms.
